HOW CAN YOU GET MEDICAL MARIJUANA CARD IN FLORIDA?

Since the cannabis has been legalized in Florida there has been tremendous applications throughout state but not all applications get selected. There is a process to obtain medical marijuana card by the law/ authority of the state. A patient can be certified for medical marijuana if his doctor recommends. This has to be followed by proper process and appropriate channel.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS TO QUALIFY FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA CARD

If you fall under any of these ailment categories then you are through to the first step. Cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, post traumatic stress disorder, ALS, crohn’s disease, parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, even patients with any terminal condition can be referred for medical marijuana by his doctor. Remember that only certified doctors in Florida can recommend patients for the card. Other than medical condition you must be the resident of Florida and must be minimum 18 years of age.

WHILE YOU VISIT TO YOUR DOCTOR

Many physicians are comfortable to recommend medical marijuana to patients with chronic or terminal ailments but not everyone of them would recommend it easily. Primary care providers that are not certified cannot recommend the card to its patients. So, you should ensure that you visit certified doctor. There is online directory for the list of certified medical experts certified by state law. Once they examine your condition and find you eligible for the medical marijuana card then it would take around 10 working days or 3 to 4 weeks (depending on the condition) to obtain the card after application.

WHAT IF APPLICATION FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS REJECTED?

If your application is properly filed with correct information and documents it generally takes 10 working days but if, you are not pre-diagnosed by certified doctor or have any incomplete information then your application might get rejected and you will have to reapply. This complete process might end up in 3 to 4 weeks.

WHERE TO GET MEDICAL MARIJUANA?

If you have medical marijuana card then you can buy marijuana from over 100 authorized dispensaries. The list of dispensaries can be obtained online. In fact, the medical marijuana can be delivered at your doorstep without much charges. Many of the authorized dispensaries deliver them throughout Florida. So, if you are a resident of Florida and above 18 years of age. Moreover, if you suffer from any chronic or fatal condition then probably you are eligible for the card.
